Hours are Monday thru Friday, 6:00 am to 5:00 pm. Closed on State and Federal Holidays.
Permits may be purchased at any Port of Entry or through a permit service. Permit is valid for 5 days and costs $15 for over dimensional and $75 for overweight.
Pilot Car - Escort Car Requirements.
Arizona pilot cars or escort regulations must be state certified.
Width: On 2 lanes over 14’ requires 1 pilot car or escort vehicle in front of truck and 1 the rear of truck. On Interstates over 15’ wide you are required to have 1 pilot car in front of truck.
Height: Over 17’ requires 1 pilot car in front of truck.
Length: On 2 Lanes:Over 120’ requires 1 pilot car in front of truck and 1 rear of truck.
On Interstates:Over 120’ requires 1 pilot car in front of truck.
Travel Restrictions.
Continuous travel trucks/loads may move on Saturday, Sunday and holidays. Trucks with the sunrise to sunset restriction can only move Monday through Friday.
