The normal hours of operation are Monday thru Friday 7:30 am until 4:30 pm.

Pilot Car - Escort vehicle requirements.

Length: Anything over 90’ requires one rear/chase vehicle.
Width: Two lanes over 13’ wide needs one front. Four lanes over 13’ wide requires one front.  If over 14’ 6” you need a high pole and a rear/chase vehicle.
Height: If over 14’ 6” you need a front and chase/rear escort vehicle.
Note: Permits are valid for 5 days.
 

Travel Restrictions

Travel is restricted if over 12’ wide in most areas to 6:30 am (or a half hour after sunrise) until 9:00 am then resume at 4:30 pm until 6:00 pm (or a half hour before sunset). If over 14’ wide no movement on Monday or Friday at all. You may move Tuesday thru Thursday but only from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. Interpretation of the existing documentation is difficult and cumbersome.  We will call them and update this page in the near future.  For now, consider this info as a basic guideline for estimates only. Please call the State of Ohio for exact laws.  And always be sure to read the instructions on your permit(s).
