Basic Permit fee is $20.00 but fee increases as width increases over 16. There is an additional $5.00 fee for using a credit card to pay for the permit. Permit is valid for 5 days
Pilot Car - Escort Car Requirements.
Over 12 wide requires 1 front escort. Over 14 wide requires 1 front and 1 rear escort. Must have Oversize Load or Wide Load sign on front of lead escort and on rear of following vehicle, along with rotating amber light. Escorts and truck must be in radio contact.
Travel Restrictions.
Travel permitted ½ hour after sunrise to ½ hour before sunset, Monday through Saturday. No Sunday travel. No travel permitted when visibility is less than 1000.
